Laughing aloud allowed

LAUGHTER YOGA started in India in 1995 when Dr Madran Kataria observed the  beneficial effects of laughter.  From just five members initially Laughter Clubs have spread to 100s of countries worldwide  and now with thousands of Laughter Clubs.  Laughing aloud is allowed and provides a safe space to laugh deeply.  Hearty laughter lowers stress levels and boosts the immune system through the use of yogic breathing and laughter exercises.  This promotes health and well being. Regular practice will help reduce anxiety and improve your outlook on life.

Enhance Your Wellness

Laughter is a great way to improve your endurance in other real life situations. Laughter  yoga will help your body relax while stretching and the laughter exercises will energise your brain with oxygen making you feel more alert.

Calm Your Mind

Laughter yoga helps with mindfulness and meditation. It is important to take a break from daily life in order to focus on yourself and get clarity. Focusing on your breath during practice is key to staying in tune with your mind and body.

Unconditional hearty laughter  that is not reliant on jokes, humour or comedy boosts the immune system and stimulates the production of endorphins.  These happy hormones  in turn generate a sense of wellbeing.  The cardiovascular activity of laughter exercises increase oxygenated blood to the brain and organs which helps stimulate circulation and ultimately relaxation for any age group.
